I got new common friend from Northern California. They told me that NPI has been discriminated with two members, who become former paranormal team of NPI. They left them due the reason of disability.
NPI team gave bad and make fun of these disability acts.-
I understand what they felt so much about it. That NPI should not do that. In the organization that is only good role and reputation in the attract of leadership and supporting in the group.
Now two members are lost of…

My recent expedition to the old Manteno State Hospital complex has piqued an interest I have had in facilities like this that began with the encounter working in the basement of a Joliet Illinois penitentiary annex building of few years back that housed sex offenders and culminated in my coverage of a west suburban retirement home demolition (Plymouth Pace)
in early 08...I have heard rumors over the years and have even been privy to first hand accounts related…

Don't want to clutter up this site with material peripheral to ghosthunting but did want to mention my recent visit to Aurora, Texas, where I was doing some research on a local legend that claims there was a UFO crash near the town -- in 1897! This was all for a chapter on my current book project, "Texas Confidential: Sex, Scandal, Murder, and Mayhem in the Lone Star State."
I have posted a couple of pictures on my TravelBlogue,

The Manteno State Asylum
by Barek Halfhand
It has been close to a decade since I have been to Manteno Illinois, and while growth and development has since peppered the predominately rural landscape with prefab-ish subdivisions along the straights of Rt 57 just north of the Manteno exit, the small town, Main Street charm beside the railway looks unchanged. The community of approximately 7,000 is still largely a farming/agricultural community but also hosts a balance of industri…

Hey, paranormal world,
This is my first blog on the site. Hopefully not my last. For those who don't know me, I help the AHRT series by packing up orders and creating web content to help spread the word about the books. You might have seen one of my creations if you watched
this video or
this video.
I remember the first time I helped out with AHRT was back when John Kac…

Some of you may know that in addition to investigating the parnormal I also write about it as the D.C. Paranormal Examiner on Examiner.com. I recently wrote an acrticle on the Bladensburg Dueling Grounds, a site just across the river from Washington D.C. where "gentlemen" used to defend their honor by setting it the old fashion way....a duel!
I've been swamped the past couple of months and just could not find the time to get up to the grounds to shoot some pictures to g

I am a volunteer at an extremely haunted museum in Brooksville, Florida. It is a 14 room old Victorian mansion with a rich history dating back to 1856 when the first portion of the house was built. This wonderful old house is well worth a visit, either in the daytime or at night. We have been investigated 25 times in the past 4 years, but the paranormal experiences have been happening since the late 1800's. If you are in Florida, please come to old Brooksville and take a trip into the past with…

PIHA wants to hear about the haunted museums, historic communities and public historic sites across the US that you have investigated.
We are hoping to have as many cities listed as possible for every state in our country.
The reason for this effort is to have a web site location where people can view a list of these historic haunted locations and then be able to contact you and/or the historic location t
