Courtney Mroch Haunt Jaunts's Haunted Roadtripping Adventure with Michael J. Varhola

Michael was kind enough to leave a note on the only other blog post I've made on AHRT. (I just figured out how to do it yesterday. I thought you had to have special privileges or something. I didn't realize anyone could post.)

At any rate, last fall Michael J. Varhola humored me by giving me great answers to questions I asked him about his books. I didn't realize until his comment on my other post that some of his answers included never-before-revealed info. Wicked cool.

If you… Continue

Courtney Mroch On Twitter? Party with Haunt Jaunts and Help Raise Money for the Lymphoma Research Foundation

I was diagnosed with Stage 2 B-cell non-hodgkins lymphoma on December 31, 2008. After spending a good chunk of 2009 undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, I am happy to report I'm now in remission. Yay!

However, another part of my treatment involved starting Haunt Jaunts, my travel blog for restless spirits which provides a passport to paranormal tourism for ghost enthusiasts. It was my "get off the couch" project during my good days. It really… Continue

Joyhorror WANT TO BE PART OF A NEW PARANORMAL MOVIE?

UNEXPLAINED CONFIDENTIAL

It’s a haunting tale of a curiously strange horror writer who decides to make a documentary on the research that he’s doing for his paranormal column. The column is “Unexplained Confidential” and the stories are real… and so is this filmmakers journey. What does he intend to learn by tracking down a local Ghost Hunting organization as well as a UFO investigator? The answer is surely m

Debra Robinson You have a paranormal team, a client and a “legal duty”

Many new people are joining the ranks of paranormal investigators. New teams are formed ever day around the country. Joining a ghost hunting group is fun, exciting and rewarding, but it is also laden with responsibilities which must be considered.

Debra Robinson Faces of the Paranormal: Laine Crosby Investigative Medium and much, much more!

One reward of being involved in activities is the people you get to meet. There are so many interesting people in the metro D.C. area doing exciting work in the paranormal, that it was hard to decide who I would use to launch this series of articles.

I chose to start with Laine because she is very well respected and someone t

Debra Robinson Use this time for maintenance on your equipment

So far this year Mother Nature has ensured that much of the country has been faced with unusual cold and in many cases, record snows. January also tends to be a fairly slow time of year for many investigators and many public investigation locations. That being said, this is a great time to pull out your equipment and perform some maintenance on it.

Debra Robinson Making the case: Ghosts and the afterlife-Part 1

I find myself engaged in some interesting conversations involving the paranormal, and I am frequently asked if I really do believe in ghosts and an afterlife. I politely answer that yes, in fact I do believe in both, which I know will almost certainly be followed by the dreaded question, “Why”?

Each time I take a

L'Aura L. Hladik The Deadline

Hi, Well getting together with Brian Sandt to do a podcast has been impossible. So, I've had to be resourceful and learn MovieMaker to create a vidcast version of the The DEADline. You can view this on Blip.tv: http://thedeadline.blip.tv/file/3161131/ My Space and You Tube has 20 and 10 minute times restrictions respectively. It's a lot of work just putting a show together, there's no way I'm suffering the added editing to break it apart to… Continue

PSI of Oregon A Look From The Other Side

It is a quiet night. You have made sure that the kids are sleeping safely and soundly. You wander the house as you usually do, admiring the smallest things you have come to know and love; the vases, the framed photographs, the books that line the shelves, touching a few items here and there, slightly moving, adjusting a few. Straightening up. You even check on the adults, smiling as you see them interacting so happily and lovingly. You remember when they were once the children you repeatedly che… Continue

Michael J. Varhola Psi-fi Para-Radio Interview (January 27)

Had a terrific chat Wednesday night with Donna and Sharon at Psi-fi Para-Radio at their new, more listener-friendly time. It's amazing how quickly 90 minutes flies by on their show and how much ground we cover every time! And ever since I got off the phone with them, I keep thinking of things I had planned to mention but did not have the chance to.

Subjects we covered this time included the strange and wonderful world of the south Texas Hill Country; the 2012 prophecies and the other mi… Continue

Michael J. Varhola Gamers Help Haiti

My own small publishing company, Skirmisher Publishing LLC, is supporting the efforts to provide relief in Haiti described in the following announcement. I have not seen much along these lines from the ghosthunting community and figured I would take the initative on this. There are, in any event, few places with a richer paranormal history than Haiti! Online retailer DriveThruRPG has announced a major incentive to the roleplaying gamer community in order to solicit donations to aid in re… Continue

Jaye LoPrest Cooperstown Ghost Hunt with TAPS and Chip Coffey

WOW! What a weekend!!! Lots of activity! The most fun was the person contacted thru the Ouija Board. His name is Ralph and he was a waiter and dock attendant for guests of the hotel arriving by boat. He was 44 when he died of pneumonia in 1927. He loved our laughter and was quite the joker himself! Very strong spirit able to move the planchet with what seemed to be little effort. A young man came over to our session since we were all laughing and having a great time with Ralph. He was convincContinue

L'Aura L. Hladik New Year...

Happy New Year! Let's see what 2010 brings for all of us. In numerology it reduces to a 3 which is the number that vibrates about Trinity - so expect things, good or bad, to come in threes this year. The #2 represents balance. You'll find trying to maintain balance in life - between work & play - or family & friends - a persistent challenge this year. 1 is for new beginnings. The Double Master number 11 of 2009 really shook things up, and not for the better and so 2010 is all about recov… Continue

Debra Robinson Debra Robinson of Bridges2Beyond named "DC Paranormal Examiner"

It seems my interest in writing, and opportunities to do so, is really starting to expand. I recently picked up the tasking to write as the DC Paranormal Examiner for Examiner.com. I have posted my first few articles, one of which references America's Haunted Road Trip; and author Michael Varhola's books Ghosthunting Virginia and Ghosthunting Maryland.
