Psi-fi Para-Radio Interview (January 27)

Had a terrific chat Wednesday night with Donna and Sharon at Psi-fi Para-Radio at their new, more listener-friendly time. It's amazing how quickly 90 minutes flies by on their show and how much ground we cover every time! And ever since I got off the phone with them, I keep thinking of things I had planned to mention but did not have the chance to.

Subjects we covered this time included the strange and wonderful world of the south Texas Hill Country; the 2012 prophecies and the other mi… Continue

Gamers Help Haiti

My own small publishing company, Skirmisher Publishing LLC, is supporting the efforts to provide relief in Haiti described in the following announcement. I have not seen much along these lines from the ghosthunting community and figured I would take the initative on this. There are, in any event, few places with a richer paranormal history than Haiti!

Psi-fi Para-Radio Interview (Dec. 9-10, 2009)

Was very pleased to be invited back to chat with Donna and her colleagues the evening of Wednesday, December 9! This show has got some very earnest, engaged listeners and I always have a lot of fun addressing their questions (more on that below).

As usual, we covered a lot of ground during the 90-minute live show. Topics included haunted Henryton Hospital in Marriotsville, Maryland; my plans for launching a publishing imprint that covers paranormal topics other than ghosthunting, such as UFOs a… Continue

Additional Haunted Sites in Maryland

In the lastest round of America's Haunted Road Trip books, we decided to include appendices of "Additional Haunted Places" containing brief descriptions of sites that did not receive full-chapter coverage. I included 50 such entries in Ghosthunting Maryland but am constantly coming across ever more purportedly haunted sites that warrant at least a mention. This post will serve as a living document for such sites as I identify them. Note that many of these sites are more restricted than th… Continue

Thanks Michael for contacting me. I'm sure that your future books will be as successful as you previous ones. Good luck with that.
If you would like to view the some of the DVD's (videos) that we supply our clients after an investigation, you can watch them at NorthWest Cable News (a division of KING 5 TV News in Seattle, WA). King 5 TV News has offered to host our entire series of DVD's that we are making concerning haunted museums, historical communities and historical sites in Washington State. We hope to be completed wth this project by the fall or early winter of 2010.

Thanks for the friend ocnnection. I'm not very savvy pertaining to these kinds of websites including twitter, facebook, etc. so I tend to either ignor them or make mistakes trying to communicate with individuals involved in them.
I was blown away to see that you talked to Shirley MacClain(sp) what a feather in your cap - kudos to you
As a folklore historian my interests are eclectic. I write a bimonthly folklore article for Country Roads: Southeastern Indiana's Lifestyle Magazine. Since many people do not receive this magazine I try to post all articles on my website. However, alas, I'm sadly behind. I don't do the website I have a wonderful webmaster who handles it for me. I need to bring it up to date. One of my articles was based on my involvedment in the Johnny Depp "John Dillinger" movie. I did some research for them. This led to an historical/folkoric article. My latest article is on the folklore of the Wizard of Oz movie.
Okay, enough about me. I just wanted to say THANK YOU and KUDOS FOR YOUR MANY ACCOMPOISHMENTS AND CONNECTIONS. YOU ARE A VERY IMPRESSIVE INDIVIDUAL.

Thank you! Not sure which photo you had seen, but I did just change it..for out of respect for my boyfriend, Dave Mackie. He is my better half of our Investigation Research Team "The Spirit Stalkers of Ohio." We are going to be on the A&E Biography Channel soon. Within the last couple weeks of March and into the month of April. We are set to fly to LA on March 13th to tape a segment called, "My Ghost Story." After reading your thoughts on the battlefields, I would like to know how well your history is on Gettysburg...I posted a question under your topic about ghosts and battlefields. Sorry I know a little off your topic, but I couldn't delete it after I started. Let me know if you have anyone who might be able to answer my question promptly. I am planning on contacting Mark Nesbitt's office on monday as to see if he's available or would they be able to refer me to someone if he's out. Thank for your thoughts...Julie
