America's Haunted Roadtrip

Touring America's Greatest Haunted Areas

Places that needs investigating or places that allow ghost hunting

Does anyone know if any areas in the state of Virginia that are easily accessible in order to investigate? I have been having a really hard time trying to find places. Is there anyone that can help me with this? I also would like to offer our services regarding true investigations. We have an excellent team of individuals. Currently we are being asked to come and investigate by others because they are aware of our work, however, they typically only ask for me or someone else to come and handle some of the medium work that goes along with it.

There are a lot of places throughout the state of Virginia open to investigation! So many, in fact, that I was able to write a whole book on the subject, Ghosthunting Virginia, which is one of the volumes in the America's Haunted Road Trip series of travel guides. So, the first thing I would advise you to do is pick up a copy of it. All the books in the series are available through this site and signed and personalized copies of Ghosthunting Virginia can be purchased at http://skirmisher.cerizmo.com/items/2098-ghosthunting-virginia-sign....

So where are you located in Virginia? I might be able to give you some tips on good sites in your area.

Hello Michael. I'm sorry about taking forever to write back. Things have been a little hectic with work, private investigations, as well as school. We are located in Central Virginia, in between Richmond and Charlottesville, Virginia. We have placed our advertisements in the paper however hits have not been significant. We are actually looking for places that will alow us as a group to investigate in the evening. most places will allow us to come and tour but that isn't what we really want. We want to go into places to study the activity within the site. Hopefully someone can help with that as well. Thank you for your assistance.

Hey Gloria,
Looking back in the Forums I had a reminder of Featherbed Road. It is part of the second battle of Mannassas. Very nice area for ghost hunting. And public property.

Hi Gloria, I found this group on meetup & simply sent them an email to see if they had anything going on while I'm in the area...or any reccommendations on where to go. They were very responsive, we're actually meeting up with one of their members next week :) They are out of Manassas: http://paranormal.meetup.com/545/ I hope that helps!

LOL I was going to refer you to the same meetup group as another poster on here. Celeste, who is a co-organizer there, is fabulous! I just moved from VA and did some ghost hunts there. Balls Bluff is a great place to do an investigation and if you contact the park authorities you can get permission to be there at night. Also, Button Farm was one we did in MD, but you also need permission and to set up a time-but they are GREAT! There are ghost tours that run out of Old Town Alexandria, but you don't get to go into the houses, however there are alot of huanted locations down there that you could try to contact.

I think that is the issue here. We are interested in doing anything but ghost tours. It was more or less to be able to help out in certain areas of Virginia.
