America's Haunted Roadtrip

Touring America's Greatest Haunted Areas

Friends: I am a member of Bob Welch's (Member of FLEETWOOD MAC 1971-74)Website @ www.bobwelch.com....

Bob has an abiding interest in the Paranormal and took part in an investigation of the Bell Witch Mansion and he related the following....

I ran into a guy who was writing a book on the bell witch. He invited Wendy and I to stay all night with about 6 other people at the Bell Witch Cabin in Adams Tennessee, which we did. (The city of Adams kindly opened it up for us). Nothing the slightest bit out of the ordinary happened, but when I took my disposable camera to Walgreens to have it developed, there were "orbs" all over the prints. The developer guy said that although small orbs can sometimes be an artifact of moisture on the lens, he had NEVER seen ones like we had...as big, and as bright.

I also asked Bob who some of his favourite Paranormal Authors were and they are...

Jaques Vallee, Ingo Swann, Gary Schwartz (the Afterlife Experiments), David R. Hawkins MD (The Eye Of The I), Stephen Greer(Disclosure Project). The ones you mentioned (Freidman etc.) are also good. There are many more...John G White "The Unobstructed Universe" comes to mind. I'm planning to put a list of all the authors I like on my website.

I also am a member of Cherie Currie's Website and I have met her in 2001 & 2006....She is a former member of THE RUNAWAYS (1975-77) and has a interest in the Paranormal as well...

She and her young son Jake took part in a Ghost Tour of the Queen Mary in Long Beach,California and they experienced some creepy moments....I told her  that the Queen Mary was used as a Troopship during WW2 and had a collison with a Naval Vessel on convoy duty causing many deaths....also a Chef aboard the QM was beaten up during a voyage and shoved into one of the ovens thus causing his death...
Plus the fact her first Skipper died a few months aboard ship after she was launched and christened...

Cherie also took part in an Expedition to find Bigfoot in the Pacific Northwest awhile back as well...

Hello James,
Thanks for talking to me on your PSI-FI radio show last night. As I stated on your show our paranormal organization PIHA Paranormal Investigations of Historic America (www.pihausa.com ) is based just north of Seattle, WA. The only type of investigations that we do are museums, public historical sites and historical communities in Washington State.
The reason for this is:
1. We want to get as much media coverage featuring these historic locations as possible. This increases individulas and families visiting these historic locations and thus uncreases their much needed revenue.
2. We are encouraging individuals and families to visit these and other historic sites to learn more about WAshington State's fascinating history and the people who made it. They may even see or experience a ghost along the way.
3. We have worked hard to establish the credibility of paranormal investigating with the local historical societies, community leaders and museums and have shown them that it's to everyone's advantage if we investigate their historical site. You cannot have paranormal activity without having history and vise-versa.

Another project that we have started is a new section on our web site called "Select State". W are encouraging other paranormal groups across the US to email us a brief report describing their paranormal investigation of museums, public historical sites and historical communities where they have obtained evidence of paranormal activity. You can read more about this project on our web site by selecting the "Select State" located on the left side of each web page on our site.

Hopefully, you will want to participate in this new program and contact me. We hope to have as many cities included in each state as possible. By giving your paranormal organization an additional web presence, we have found that your client base will increase as well.

Thanks for your time, Vaughn

It was me you talked to Vaughn, along with Donna and her co-hosts on Psi-fi Radio! Great to have you here; sounds like your organization is doing some worthwhile things. I am partial to historic sites myself.

Hello again Michael,
Sorry that I sent you my message to someone else by mistake. But you still received it in a round about way.
As you can tell we are passionate and committed to what we are doing with paranormal investigating and historical sites. I'm glad to hear that you feel the same. I really believe that if this is talked about enough, other organizations will work more often with their historical societies and museums. The only way that can happen is to talk about the successes of everyone's investigations and the benefits that these types of investigations can bring everyone. I feel that paranormal investigating has to be more than just trying to record the voice of a ghost and place the video on YouTube for everyone to see. This is an interesting experience that nobody has the answer to and until people much smarter than me (the scientific community) are finally able to scientifically determine what it is that we are recording on our equipment, it will never get any further than it is today. By starting with our historical community, we can bring paranormal investigating into the mainstream of society.
Hopefully more authors like you will continue to write books and talk about your findings and how it is connected to our history and the people who made it. We will be anything more than a bunch of people running around in the middle of the night with our recorders trying to find a ghost if we don't get the mainstream organizations to start showing an interest. It has to start somewhere and I believe that it can start with our historians. Hopefully the, the scientific community will begin to show more of an interest in what is being recorded and start looking for scientific answers. A couple of plumbers with a hit TV show will never be able to answer those questions and neither will we. It was only a few years ago that the scientific community stayed away from the question "Are we alone in the universe?” Today, you will not find too many scientists that believe we are the only form of life in the universe. We are at the same stage with paranormal investigating and most scientists don't want to touch the other big question "What happens after we die?” We will never get the scientific community to try and solve that question until we get out of the graveyards and establish a level of credibility with the historical community.
Since I spent my working career as an engineer, I tend to look at this question from a different perspective than others may. I see a problem and I try to solve it by fact and not by theory and speculation. And if I’m unable to solve the problem, then I go to the “smarter” people that can. So you see for me, it’s time that the paranormal investigation community to move on to the next level to get some answers scientifically, because right now, we will never have anything more than speculation and a bunch of recordings that we call ghost.

Good luck with your books and keep up the great work that you are doing by working with the historical societies and museum curators.
Vaughn
